The primary software utilized at The CADMaker is Autodesk's Inventor. Inventor is a parametric 3D solid modeling package that allows the generation of parts, assemblies, rendered images, design animations, and of course engineering prints. The CADMaker used Mechanical Desktop since its inception and switched to Inventor at release 6.

In some instances AutoCAD may be preferred as the CAD application. The CADMaker has experience using AutoCAD since v2.16 in 1985.

The CADMaker additionally uses Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007 products for office support.
